Before Serena Dye became a nationally recognized advocate, author, keynote speaker, and nonprofit leader, she was a woman whose voice had been taken from her. Her powerful testimony of surviving a forced abortion has now circulated nationally and internationally, shedding light on the hidden trauma of women who were pressured, coerced, or denied a true choice. The experience could have defined her by silence and shame. Instead, Serena walked a journey of healing, reclaimed her voice, and chose to use it for those who still feel unseen and unheard.
That transformation became the foundation of her life’s work. Serena is the author of Becoming a Voice: My Story of Healing from Trauma and Abuse, a deeply personal account of moving from pain and powerlessness into healing, courage, and purpose. As the former Executive Director of a pregnancy resource organization, Serena brings more than personal testimony to the platform.
